[Class 144 (ii)] A tread band for use on pneumatic or other elastic tyres comprises two or more sections 1, 2 with connecting-means such as bolts 4, 5 and provided with spaced transverse traction lugs 10. As shown, the sections are formed with lateral arms 11, 12 to embrace the sidewalls of the tyre 3.
