Abstract

491,139. Wheel tyres. SOC. ITALIANA PIRELLI. May 10, 1938, No. 13981. Convention date, June 21, 1937. [Class 144 (ii)] A pneumatic tyre tread comprising non-communicating cavities 1 is provided with incisions 3 extending from the walls of the cavities towards, or connecting, adjacent cavities. The incisions are of the kind produced by the means described in Specifications 478,102, [Group V], and 478,103. It is stated that the actual roadcontacting surface 2 should be not less than 65 per cent of the total tread area.
