Oct. 22, 1920 Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores. - A wheel tyre comprises a continuous tread portion 13 and a base portion 11 connected by short integral spokes 14. A rim 4 has recesses accommodating projections formed on interlocking rubber cushions 6 which have outer projections 15 engaging correspondingly-shaped recesses in the part 11 of the tyre. The cushions 6 may be held in place by side plates 16.
