Abstract

249,688. Reid, W., Reid, R. H., and Reid, W. April 17, 1925. Non - metallic elastic bodies and cores; tread bands.-A cushion tyre 2 is fitted with a flexible inexteraible tread band 1, the base portions 2<1> being clamped between the rim flanges 3 and a securityring 7. The parts are so proportioned that the rubber body 2 is nonnally in compression radially or transversely, or in both directions. The part 2 is of X-section and, according to the Provisional Specification, may be of the kind described in Specification 170,878. Interlocking projections 5 and recesses 6 are provided on the meeting faces of the parts 2, 1 respectively.
