121,988. Bodman, W. L. Dec. 6, 1917. Block tyres; tread projections. -Tractor wheels are fitted with rubber blocks carried on flexible base plates detachably secured to the rims. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, rubber sections 1, each formed with three tread studs projecting through the plate 3, are secured to the wheel rim 6 by bolts 5. To ensure a firm seating on the rim, the plates are formed of flexible metal, threeply wood, or metal-faced wood. Figs. 4 and 5 show a modification in which rhousboidal rubber blocks 10 are secured by enclosed plates 12, and are adapted to receive metal tread studs 11 of the kind described in Specification 123,358.
