Tyre attachments fn rims.-Continuous solid rubber tyres of the " band " type, which are usually vulcanized to a continuous rigid metal base hand and forced on the rim, are characterized by the base band being divided at one or more places and fitted with means for drawing together the ends. In the form shown, the ends of the band b divided at e are drawn together by bolts passing through slots in the band, rim c, and felloe d. Various mechanical means for drawing the ends together are described, such as plates with inclined surfaces, Fig. 9, actuated by transverse bolts.
