Rims.-To prevent creeping, the tyre bead seatings of rims of the central well base type are formed with indentations, corrugations, or protuberances 2. Similar indentations &c. 5 may be, formed on the rim flanges 4, and these may coincide with the positions of the spoke-nipples. The corrugations &c. may be transverse (Fig. 1), circumferential (Fig. 5), or of helical form, and may be produced by means of rollers.
