Abstract

136,470. Siddeley, J. D. June 4, 1919. Disk wheels. - Wheels for motor and other vehicles consist uf a single smooth disk A which is integral with the base A<4> and one flange A of the rim, and tc which the other flange B of the rim is attached to permit easy removal of the tyre. The disk is stepped to one side as at A<3> to take the flange B, which is secured by bolts C. A brake drum consisting of a ring D flanged at D is secured on a shoulder A<6> by bolts E, which are formed with conical shoulders seated in conical recesses in the flange D<2>, and the nuts D<4> may also be coned to engage similar recesses in the disk A.
