Abstract

223,397. Siddeley, J. D. Oct. 11, 1923. Detachable - rim attachments to wheels. - The tyre-carrying rim C is detachably secured on the brake drum A<2> by a ring or series of clamps G and transverse bolts F by which the rim is forced against the flanged edge A<3> of the drum. As shown, a packing - ring E of aluminium or other material is fitted against the flange A<3> and a similar ring may be fitted between the clamps &c. G and the other side of the rim.
