Abstract

537,963. Wheel tyres. ANDRE RUBBER CO., Ltd., T. B., and GILLETT. T. Jan. 12, 1940, No. 694. [Class 144 (ii)] A rubber tyre A, particularly for the trackengaging wheels of endlesstrack vehicles, is "bonded" " to a split ring B which is detachably secured to the wheel by flanged rings C. As shown, the ring B has beaded edges B' lapped by the edgeportions of the tyrebase which are clamped by the flanged edges of the rings C. The latter are secured by transverse bolts E which also serve to connect the wheel discs D, D<SP>1</SP>. The gap in the ring B may be covered by a plate secured to one end of the ring. Specification 520,439 is referred to.
