698,730. Disc brakes. HILGER, O., and BUSCH, W., [trading as BERGISCHE STAHLINDUSTRIE]. May 7, 1952 [June 28, 1951], No. 11529/52. Class 103 (i). In a wheel, primarily intended to run on rails, of the type comprising a rim h<SP>1</SP> carried resiliently on the hub a by means of a block of resilient material, such as rubber, f, interposed between a flange c and a rim disc g, the flange c or, as shown, a separate disc j provided adjacent thereto, is arranged to serve as a brake disc. Preferably, as shown, there are two rubber blocks f, held against a central felly h by means of a pair of carrying flanges c and d. As shown, the brake discs and k are detachably connected to the bolt m which holds the two hub parts a and b together, but they may be integral therewith.
