342,785. Vehicle wheels. ZIPPER, E., and ZIPPER, W., 120a, Hietzinger-Hauptstrasse, Vienna. Nov. 9, 1929, No. 34290. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1928. [Classes 144 (i) and 144 (ii).] Relates to wheels cast in one piece of light metal and of the type in which the spokes or disc b support the rim only at one side a<1>, the other side a of the rim being unsupported to provide ample accommodation for the brake drum; and consists in corrugating the unsupported part a in a radial direction, as shown at c, Fig. 1. The corrugations are shallow, being of a depth about equal to the thickness of the rim. They are connected at their outer edge by a flange f, and at their inner edge by a sloped portion d. A detachable auxiliary rim g, h is secured by a ring i and locking ring j.
