[Class 144 (ii).] The rim shown in Fig. 1 is centrally divided, the part 2 being fixed to the felloe 1 and the part 3 detachably secured by bolts 4 and plates 3a. The rim joint is covered by a flexible metal band 6 secured to the part 2. In the modification shown in Fig. 2, the flange 3b is formed integral with the wheel-rim 1.
