278,512. India Rubber, Gutta Percha, & Telgraph Works Co., Ltd., and Avery, W. L. Sept. 24,1926. Rims, such as the kind described in Specification 103,868, comprising side channels A<1>, A<2> and transverse ties B, are stiffened by forming the side walls A<4>, A<5> with corrugations or embossments C extending across the circumferential lines of the ties. The rim shown is also provided with perforated bosses D for the attachment of wind shields.
