Abstract

388,689. Wheel tyres. HJAERESEN, P., 29B, Holger Danskesvej, Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. Sept. 17, 1932, No. 25946. Convention date, Oct. 28, 1931. [Class 144 (ii).] A detachable tread band 3, which may be formed from a discarded tyre cover, is fitted with pairs of channel-section plates 4 having oblique ends arranged as shown. The band 3 may be of endless form and secured by inflation of the tyre, or of strip form with the ends con. nected by a tightening-device 5. The inner periphery of the band may be shaped to interengage with the tread pattern of the tyre.
