Abstract

167,732. Michelin et Cie. Aug. 9, 1920, [Convention date]. Disc wheels.-In a disc wheel of the type in which the disc has a peripheral flange forming a seat for the rim, the inner surface of the flange forms a brake drum. In the form shown in the Figure, the disc A is bolted to a hub flange with the interposition of a metal ring C, and has a thickened flange A<1> forming the brake drum. Specification 162,358 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the brake drum may be secured to the disc by brazing or by rivets passing through the disc and an outwardly-extending flange on the drum, or the drum itself may be formed integral with the ring C, which is then further secured to the disc by rivets. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
