Abstract

263,882. Candellero, A. Jan. 4, 1926, [Convention date]. Wheels with non-supporting casings enclosing spokes.- A sheet-metal spoke-enclosing disc 8 with a flanged edge 9 engaging the wheel rim 1 is secured to the wheel hub by means of the existing attachment bolts 4. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the bolts pass through a central flange 10 formed on the disc. In the modification shown in Fig. 2, the inner edge of the disc is connected by brackets 11 to a ring 12 bolted to the wheel. The centre of the disc is closed by a separate piece 13 having a threaded ferrule 15 engaging a bolt 14 projecting from the hub cap 7. In a further modification, the bolt 14 is carried by a plate secured to the ring 12.
