Wheels with non-supporting casings enclosing spokes. - In wheels of the kind which are clamped between hub flanges Y, Y<2>, the outer spoke enclosing discs A, and preferably also the inner disc C, are bowed outwardly between the hub and rim and are secured at the hub by the bolts and flanges which secure the wheel. The inner disc C may be made substantially flat as shown in order to clear the brake and the fittings and is formed with a step C<3> and circular or radial flutings C<2>.
