Suspension-spoke wheels; spokes, securing and adjusting.-A wire-spoked wheel in which tensioning is effected by axial separation of the spoke-sets comprises at least one set of spokes each of which extends directly between spaced points on the rim and engages a driving-element detachably secured to the axle or hub member. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the inner set of spokes a, b, c are arranged as chords across the wheel and engage driving-bosses d which are secured by bolts n and nuts p to the hub flange c. The outer set of spokes r is carried by a ring k which is adjusted axially by means of the hubcap h In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the driving-elements o are formed of sheet metal separately adjusted with respect to the hub or axle flange for tensioning the spokes.
