Spokes, securing and adjusting.-Wheels with inclined spokes are provided with means for adjusting the spokes and d tightening the. wheel at both the hub and felloe ends of the spokes. In the example shown, the outer ends of the spokes rest in shoes which are arranged with their flanges 13 alternately at opposite sides of the felloes. The cuter and inner ends of the spokes are parallel to the plane of the wheel. The inner ends of the spokes fit in recesses in a flange 4 on the hub and in a loose collar alternately. By screwing up the bolts 12, 15, the wheel is tightened in the rim or tyre. In a modification, the spokes may be tightened at the hub by fitting their ends into recesses in a sleeve which can be rotated on the bush and secured by a lock-nut.
