Abstract
597,153. Vehicle wheels. BROWN TRACTORS, Ltd., D., MERRITT, H. E., and SMITH, A. E. May 23, 1944, No. 9970. [Class 144 (i)] A tractor wheel comprises a disc or spoked body portion a<1> properly dished as shown, fitted at its periphery with circumferentially-spaced bosses a<2> to which rims, such as b, c, Fig. 3, f<1>, g<1>, Fig. 5, are detachably secured by bolts d. One or both of the rims b, c may be fitted with an angle-section tread-ring e. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the rims f<1> g<1> are fitted with off-set rings f<2>, g<2> to provide a divergent tread for use on ridged soil. The rims b, c and f<1>, g' may be secured in reversed positions on the wheel. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 511,071, 524,270, 525,753 and 548,259.
