Chucks.-Secondary work-grips are mounted in the jaws of self-centring chucks, The screw-plugs g, operated independently by hand-keys, are fitted with ball-seated snap-on gripping-pieces g<4> and are mounted in the steps of the radial camclosed jaws d. The faces d<2> of the jaws may also be fitted with a secondary grip, Fig. 5, in which case the pressure is applied through an intermediate piece g<3>. The screw-plugs g, when set for self-centring action only, are frictionally locked by spring-pressed pins l released by camspindles o, Fig. 7.
