Abstract

195,716. Nielsen, H. Dec. 29, 1921. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Brake mechanism.- The brake ring 10 of a back-pedalling brake for bicycles is provided with a central internal flange which engages with recesses in inwardly directed projections 9 arranged in a circle on the coverplate 8. The ring 10 is expanded against the cylindrical sleeve 7 by a pin 14 passing through a slot 15 in the cover - plate and borne by an arm 13 which is pivoted on a nut 12 and is moved by a tension-rod connected to the crank axle.
