Hoods.-Relates to hoods of the kind duescribed in Specificaticns 2 8 8 4 / 1 3, 22610/13, 4035/14, and 6851/15, in which the joint of the rear stretcher - bars is broken by connexions from a link or hoopstick o hinged to the rear cant-rail, upon raising the front cantrail in collapsing the hood. According to the invention, a pusher-rod n, such as is described in Specification 10742/13, is connected to the link o and adapted to engage an extension of the stretcher-bar. The cant-rail is joined at j between the intermediate pillars c, d, the rear part g being hinged to the pillar c at m and to the rear pillar a at l, so that it is lowered with these pillars by a substantially parallel movement, and lies above them in the folded position. The forward cant-rail h folds over on to the rear part g. Links o, q, of which the former carries a hoop-stick o<3>, are pivoted together and to the cant-rails g, h, at o<2>, q<2>, and a hoop-stick s<3> is similarly carried by links r, s connected respectively to the link o and to the cant-rail g. A pushrod n, connected to the link o at n<3> and passing through an eye n<2>, is adapted, upon raising the cant-rail h, to engage an extension e<3> of the stretcher-bar e, and thereby to break the joint e<4> of this bar. A spring f is connected to an arm f<2> on the pivot e<2> of the stretcher-bar. The hoopsticks o, s move back to lie on the cant-rail g when the cant-rail h is turned back.
