Valves; valve-gear; regulating. - In a two. stroke-cycle engine, exhaust ports h in the cylinder head are controlled by an oscillating disk valve j worked from a grooved cam r by a lever o and links s, m. The connexion between the links s and m is adjustable to vary the effective length of the arm m and the extent of opening of the ports h. The charge is drawn into the crank chamber and transferred to the working cylinder through piston-controlled ports f, d.
