Valve - gear; regulating.-In an engine of the type described in Specification 167,603, the exhaust ports are lengthened, so that they commence to open 33‹ before the full-open period, which extends throughout 84‹ of the crank-pin circle. The total area of the exhaust poris is greater than the cross-sectional area of the combustion space. The actuation and regulation of the valve V are the same as described in the above-mentioned Specification.
