Abstract

1338525 Printing apparatus OMCSA OFFICINE MECCANICHE CIGARDI SpA 5 June 1972 [8 June 1971] 26112/72 Heading B6C A multi-unit printing press includes a transfer cylinder 20 with grippers operated by a cam follower 57 running on a stationary cam 58 concentric with the cylinder. When the transfer cylinder is tripped by its eccentric bearings 70, so that its coaxial driving gear no longer meshes with other gears, the cam moves with the cylinder. Rotation of the cylinder by an auxiliary drive then produces opening and closing of the grippers in the same rotational position as previously.
