Abstract

928,775. Inking apparatus. SAMUEL M. LANGSTON CO. July 19, 1961 [Feb. 10, 1961], No. 26197/61. Class 100 (2). [Also in Group XXIV] In apparatus for reciprocating the inking rollers of a printing press, an inking roller 18 drives a worm-wheel 48 through gearing 28, 30; the worm-wheel carrying the shafts 62 of a cycloidal gearing 72, 74 imparting a straightline motion to a driving bush 94 slidable in a transverse slot in a driving yoke 98 connected to inking rollers 18, 20. The plane of the straightline motion can be varied by adjustment spindles 114 to vary the stroke and phase of the motion imparted to the inking rollers.
