Abstract
454,213. Printing-machines. DRESDENLEIPZIGER SCHNELLPRESSEN-FABRIK AKT.-GES., Coswig, near Dresden, Germany. May 21, 1936, No. 14391. Convention date, May 22, 1935. [Class 100 (ii)] A rotary intaglio printing-machine is constructed to permit a ready withdrawal of the printing-cylinder 1 by constructing the cylinder so that the distance between the ends of its axles is less than the width apart of the frame members 8, 9. The axles of the cylinder are mounted in bearings 4, 5 which are received in projecting shoulders 6, 7 of bearing holders 15, 16 which may be mounted adjustably in the frames 8, 9. A rotatable hollow shaft 10 is mounted in the holder 15, and by means of coupling members 12, 13 operated by a screw 14; the cylinder 1 can be coupled to the shaft 10. By lowering the holders 15, 16 in the manner described in Specification 454,212, the axles of the cylinder 1 may be received on a fixed guide and rolled out of the machine;
