Abstract

532,462. Printing-machines. EMPIRE ALUMINIUM CO., Ltd. (Anders A. Pindstofte's Maskinfabrik Akteselskabet). July 22, 1939, No. 21343. [Class 100 (ii)] A rotary printing-machine, which is especially applicable for printing labels on aluminium or other metal foil, is constructed to print in colour by means of two or more printing-couples 1, 2, and the printing-cylinders are interconnected by a train of gears including spur wheels 6 which are connected to the cylinder shafts by means of screw-bolts and slots permitting of coarse adjustment, and fine adjustment may be obtained while the machine is running by vertically adjusting the idler gears 8 which gear with the wheels 6. The gear 8 is adjustable by being mounted in a slide block 13 which can be moved vertically by a screw 16 fitted with a handwheel 17.
