Abstract

A clamping gripper for sheet-fed rotary printing presses wherein tensions produced in the paper by adhesion forces of the blanket do not react in run-on shifts of the center of a main gripper member mounted for rotation with a fit clearance on the gripper shaft. A spring is so disposed, and the bearing plane and the gripper support surface are so inclined relative to one another, that the resultant force due to the spring force, thrust and bearing load intersect the gripper finger at the transfer point.

Description

The invention relates to a clamping gripper for sheet-fed rotary printing machines according to the preamble of the claim.

In a specification known from DE-PS 1 174 804, the gripper base body is worked out in the form of a half-shell and one end thereof is connected to the spring base point located on the clamp piece. The other end is supported on the gripper support when the gripper is closed and on the support stop when the gripper is open.

The disadvantage is that the resulting resultant in the same direction does not run through the transfer point of the arc at the gripper tip. As a result, such a gripper remains sensitive to unintentional changes in the direction of the bearing force, because this also results in a change in direction of the resultant and a shift in the dynamic contact point between the gripper shaft and the bearing bore of the rotating gripper body. The gripper pushes in the printing through shifting the center of the passport game. The unintentional changes in direction of the contact force are caused e.g. due to changing high paper tensile forces, which arise from the tearing of the sheet at a kink angle from the blanket of the blanket cylinder.

In the case of a specification named from DE-OS 3 526 252, a second spring is additionally provided to compensate for bearing forces. This gripper also remains sensitive to unintentional changes in direction of the contact force.

Gripper bodies are also generally known which have a closed bearing bore and on the gripper shaft are rotatably supported to form a sprag. The bearing fit cannot be selected very finely, since the bearing point on the gripper shaft cannot be lubricated and cannot be protected against the ingress of paper dust and powder. Favored by a fast but only short movement of the gripper body relative to the gripper shaft, the grippers seize themselves on the gripper shaft and thus lose their suspension. Since this and the associated damage to the expensive gripper shaft must be avoided, a large bearing clearance is often permitted. However, this in turn makes it impossible for the grippers to pass the sheet in register because the static support point (when the gripper is open) and the dynamic support point (when the gripper is closed) do not match, so that there is a constant shift in the center of play. Such a gripper is shown in FIG. 1, for example, in US Pat. No. 2,933,040.

The object of the invention is to provide a clamping gripper in which the resulting resultant run in the same direction through the transfer point at the gripper tip.

This object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing features of the patent claim. Further developments result in connection with the drawing from the description.

The particular advantage of the clamp gripper according to the invention is that the dynamic contact point between the bearing bore of the gripper base body and the gripper shaft is maintained in continuous printing, regardless of the size and direction of the paper tensile forces caused by the adhesive forces of the rubber blanket. In addition, the clamp gripper has a favorable vibration behavior of a short Gripper because of the upper contact point, eg high natural frequency with small amplitude. Both are particularly important for high-speed printing presses and were previously not possible.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing in an exemplary embodiment.

  • Fig. 3 ein Ausführungsbeispiel in Vorderansicht.
It shows:
  • 1 is a schematic representation of the sheet to be torn off at a bending angle from the blanket cylinder during production,
  • 2 shows the basic sketch of a clamping gripper with the force effects occurring in the open and in the closed position on the gripper tip,
  • Fig. 3 shows an embodiment in front view.

Alle Kräfte 5, 5ʹ, 16, 16ʹ, 18, 19, 20, 21 schneiden sich somit im Übergabepunkt 22 an der Greiferspitze 15.In Fig. 1 the known phenomenon is shown schematically that in production a sheet 1 of a blanket cylinder 2 and a printing cylinder 3 interacting with a blanket cylinder 4 at the bend angle under paper tensile forces 5 and 5 'of the blanket 7, which must be torn off on the clamp gripper 6 act on the gripper tip 15 in variable size and direction. With 8 a delivery drum is designated in Fig. 1. A clamping piece 10 is fastened to a gripper shaft 9 by means of a clamping screw 11. A gripper base body 11, which has a closed bearing bore, is brought into contact with the clamping piece 10 by a spring 12. The arrangement of a support plane 14 on the clamping piece 10, the gripper tip 15, the bearing bore 13 of the gripper base body 11 and the spring 12 is chosen so that the effect Lines of the spring force 18, the supporting force 19 and the contact force 20 intersect at the transfer point 22 at the gripper tip 15, ie both when the direction of the resulting resultant 16 is determined by the spring force 18 and the supporting force 19, as well as when the clamping gripper 6 is closed if the resulting resultant 16ʹ is determined by the spring force 18 and the contact force 21. All forces 5, 5ʹ, 16, 16ʹ, 18, 19, 20, 21 thus intersect at the transfer point 22 at the gripper tip 15.

It is thereby achieved that the closed bearing bore 13 of the gripper base body 11 always abuts on the gripper shaft 9 at the support point 17 from above, such that the paper tensile forces caused by the harmful adhesive forces of the rubber blanket can no longer have an effect on the center displacement of the gripper base body during production .

Since the gripper is centered at a minimal distance from the transfer point 22 at the support point 17, it also has a favorable vibration behavior of a short gripper, such as low amplitude and high natural frequency. Both advantages are particularly important for high-speed machines.

The clamping gripper 6 shown in the exemplary embodiment (FIG. 3) also has the known means, such as a clamping screw 27, which clamps the clamping piece 10 on the gripper shaft 9. As a bearing for the spring 12, an extension 23 is provided on the clamping piece 10 and an extension 24 is provided on the gripper base body 11, which lie opposite one another. The preload of the spring 12 can be adjusted by means of an adjusting screw 25 on the gripper base body 11. The adjusting screw 25 also serves as a stop screw. The spring 12 acts with its force on the gripper body 11 and presses the adjusting screw 25 against the support plane 14 on the clamping piece 10.

When the gripper tip 15 strikes against the arch 1 lying on the gripper support surface 26, the contact of the adjusting screw 25 with the support plane 14 is released and the spring force 18 of the spring 12 acts as a pressing force on the gripper tip 15. By means of screw 20, the gripper tip 15 can be exchanged on the gripper base body 11 attached.
