Abstract

1,156,370. Inking-apparatus. DRUCKMASCHINENWERK PLANETA VEB. 16 March, 1967, No. 12293/67. Heading B6C. An inking device for a rotary sheet-printing machine comprises forme inking rollers 3.10, 3.11, 3.16, 3.17 contacting the plate cylinder 2 and a train of transfer rollers such as 3.7, 3.8, 3.12, 3.14, and includes tripping means such that the forme inking rollers are lifted off the plate cylinder, and the transfer rollers 3.7, 3.12 are separated from the rollers 3.8, 3.14 respectively when printing is discontinued by separation of the impression cylinder from the printing or blanket cylinder. A cam 5.5 operated by an eccentric 6 trips the forme inking rollers 3.10, 3.11, 3.16, 3.17, and a withdrawal means 4 linked to the eccentric 6 by a rod 7 effects lifting of the rollers 3.7, 3.12. A hand lever 10.1 operates a doctor 10.2, and also co-operates with toothed segments 12, 13 connected to the spindle 9 for the doctor 10.2, and an eccentric 11, respectively. The eccentric 11 is adapted to rotate the withdrawal means 4 so that the rollers 3.7 and 3.12 may be brought into contact with rollers 3.8, 3.14 to remove excess ink. The withdrawal means 4 may be adjusted by members 8.1, 8.2. The tripping mechanism is duplicated at each end of the cylinder 2.
