Abstract

1,197,517. Inking-apparatus. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK FRANKENTHAL ALBERT & CIE A.G. 19 Oct., 1967 [21 Oct., 1966], No. 47555/67. Heading B6C. Inking-apparatus including a ductor roller mounted on a shaft 15 and an inking roller mounted on a shaft 1 is provided with an electric motor 7 which is not energized in normal running during which the motor shaft 8 merely transmits the forces from a main drive, not shown, to a gear-wheel 9 and a belt pulley 10, but is adapted, when the main drive is disconnected at a magnetic clutch 6, to rotate either of the said rollers or both the inking roller and the ductor roller. The belt pulley 10 is connected to the shaft 15 via a belt 11, a further pulley 12, a variable speed gear-box 14, and a clutch 18, 19. The gear-wheel 9, which is integral with the pulley 10, is connected to a gear-wheel 24 on the shaft 1 by gear-wheels 21 and 23 and a magnetic clutch 26. The motor 7 may be energized when it is required to wash the ductor roller or to allow the ink to run in.
