131,748. Luke, F., Crawcour, H. I., and Solomon, J. Sept. 9, 1918. Vacuum apparatus.-The engine suction in the outlet pipe 34 of a surface carburettor is utilized to draw fuel from the main tank to an auxiliary tank 79 supplying an ordinary carburettor. A float 88 in the tank 79 carries a valve 92, which shuts off communication with the chamber 84 and pipes 34 when the fuel level rises.
