Abstract

122,508. Farley, J. Feb. 6, 1918. Cooking-ranges.-A cottage range with a barless grate is provided with a hinged cover-plate C adapted to turn back into a rearwardly inclined position and having means, such as a flap F and rigid side-pieces c, for enclosing the front of the fire, and means are provided at B for controlling the admission of air beneath the fire. An oven is located at the side of the grate and a boiler K of angular construction behind it, and dampers D, G, and M are provided for controlling the passage of the products of combustion direct to the chimney, around the oven, and beneath and behind the boiler, respectively.
