723,557. Fireplace frets. KEYSTONE TILING CO., Ltd. Feb. 19, 1953 [Feb. 27, 1952], No. 5120/52. Class 126. A fret which at its ends b is extended to overlap and fit closely against the front faces of the surround c is provided with side flanges d which can enter between, and be closely alongside, the side edges of the surround. The vertical depth of the fret is made similar to that of the front usually employed in the continuous all-night burning type of open firegrate. The fret is provided with a slidable flap e controlling the air flow through an aperture f, rotation of a cam g by a knob h providing the necessary positional adjustment of flap. A rack and pinion may be used in lieu of the cam and its abutment surfaces on the flap.
