659,646. Air supply for combustion. FEDERATED FOUNDRIES, Ltd., McMILLAN, H., YOUNG, M. J., and SILVER, R. S. April 4, 1949, No. 9065. [Class 126] A stove is provided with primary air from the exterior of the room by means of a duct in which is a light non-return valve which prevents a blow-back of the smoke. Primary air is supplied from beneath the floor of the room to a chamber b below the firegrate a through the duct. e. The outlet end of the duct e is fitted with a plate h having two rectangular apertures each fitted with a boxlike casing j open at one side which projects into the duct e. The projecting wall of each -casing j is provided with an opening e closed by a light mica 'flap valve m which is attached to the casing by rings in such a way that it is closed by any back draught. The chamber b below the firegrate a is provided with a removable ash-container c. The amount of air reaching the fire is manually controlled by a valve f beneath the hearth.
