[Class 126] A domestic grate comprises a fire-basket 5 having an inclined grate 10 in combination with a fret 13 at least equal in height to the front of the basket the lower part of the fret being provided with a primary air supply hit-and-miss regulator 17 and the upper portion with an opening closed by sliding doors 22 the latter providing means for rendering the fire visible from the front.
