[Class 126] A combustion unit, for incorporation in a domestic fire grate, comprises a hollow body 1 connected with an auxiliary chimney 6 for introduction into the normal chimney. The hollow body 1 around which fuel is heaped, comprises a two-part metal casting connected by screws 3 and stiffened by rims 4, 5, slots 9 being provided in the front wall. The draught through the fuel may be controlled by a damper 7 in the chimney 6.
