606,164. Stoves, fireplaces, &c. BAINES, R. Feb. 22, 1946, No. 5529. [Class 126] A domestic solid fuel stove is provided with two flues rising from the grate from levels one below the other and a heat reflector above the grate. Rising from a grate 6 are a main flue 18 and an auxiliary flue 19 which pass through a boiler 7 to a smoke-box 3 from which an opening 20 leads to the chimney: at the point of entry into the smoke-box the flues are provided with dampers 27, 28' actuated by cams 34, 35 on a shaft 36 controlled by a handwheel 37. Above the grate 6 is a reflector 14 which may be swung forward to close the front of the stove, a door 44 in the smoke-box 3 being opened to provide a direct path for the products of combustion, or the reflector may be completely removed, the grate then being used as an ordinary updraught grate. Below the grate is an ashpit door 47, pivoted at 49, which may be held in an open position by a lever-operated cam 50.
