Abstract

1,197,046. Magnetrons. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 9 May, 1969 [14 May, 1968], No. 23761/69. Heading H1D. A circuit arrangement for producing an unmodulated electric wave includes a resonant cavity magnetron-as described a strapped, multicavity magnetron-which is provided with a cathode in the form of a single monofilar helix arranged symmetrically between the poles of the magnetron magnet and a coaxial system of leads at one end of the magnetron for supplying to the cathode a direct current in such a sense as to assist the magnetic field of the magnetron and increase it uniformly in the anodecathode space.
