Abstract

1377893 Magnetrons TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO Ltd 15 Feb 1973 [18 Feb 1972] 7398/73 Heading H1D In a multicavity magnetron having anode vanes 15, and an axially extending antenna 21, conduction of heat from the anode to the ferrite magnets 25, 26 is reduced by the use of magnetic shim plates 22 and 23 which contact the magnets only at the pointed projections 24, which may be 0À5 to 1 mm. high. Cooling air is blown through the radiator 16, the gaps between the shim plates and the magnets, and the perforated housing 32 for coil 30 and capacitor 31, provided to reduce leakage of radiation.
