Abstract
1,083,693. Klystrons. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. July 20, 1965 [July 23, 1964], No. 30806/65. Heading H1D. A periodic focusing structure for a klystron contains radially magnetized permanent magnets 42 disposed between the cavities 33, 34, wherein the collector structure 32 has parts 46 of ferromagnetic material which are radially magnetized by induction by the adjacent magnet to produce a radial field 49 within the collector so that the beam is scattered over a larger surface of the collector. Cooling fins 44 of the same radius as the ferromagnetic parts 46 are provided on the collector.
