An age-hardenable austenitic alloy has the following percentage composition by weight: .C.0-0.1 .Mn.0-2.0 .Si.0-1.0 .Cr.12.0-20.0 .Ni.35.0-55.0 .Mo.3.0-7.0 .Co.1.5-7.0 .V.0-1.0 .Ti.2.75-3.75 .Al.0.75-2.0 .B.0.003-0.025 .Fe and impurities,.the balance The alloy may be solution treated at 1800-2050 DEG F. and single or a double aged at 1200-1600 DEG F. An alloy of the following composition is also referred to: .C.0.048 .Mn.0.15 .Si.0.16 .P.0.003 .S.0.005 .Cr.12.47 .Ni.42.99 .Mo.5.75 .Ti.2.93 .Al.1.04 .B.0.009 .Fe.the balance
