A corrosion resistant alloy steel has the following percentage composition: .C.0.03-0.12 .Cr.24-28 .Ni.4-6.5 .Co.0.95-12 .Mo.1.75-3 .Si.0-1 .Mn.0-1.5 .Cu.0-0.5 .Fe the balance. The alloy may be silution treated at 1900-2050 DEG F. and aged at 850 DEG F.
