Abstract

A steel contains 0.1-1.2% C, 0.005-2% Si, 0.2-2% Mn, at least one of 0.03-3% Cr, 0.03-1% Mo, 0.03-3% Ni, 0.005-0.3% V, 0.0005-0.003% B and 0.03-1% Cu, Ti and/or Zr in an amount less than that required to fix all the N in the steel, 0.03-0.2% Al, the remainder Fe and impurities. The constituents are balanced so that <FORM:1098952/C6-C7/1> is greater than 1.5 where <TABS:1098952/C6-C7/1>
