Abstract
An age-hardening alloy steel for high-temperature use contains in percentage by weight: .C.0-0.15 .Mn.0-0.25 .Si.0-0.25 .Cr.10-25 .Ni.20-35 .Mo.0.25-2 .Ti.1-4 .Al.0-0.4 .V.0.1-1 .B.0.003-0.025 .Fe.balance The alloy may be solution-treated at 1800-1900 DEG F. for 1-2 hours followed by oil or air quenching and then precipitation hardened at 1300-1450 DEG F. for about 16 hours. An intermediate ageing treatment of 6 hours at 1450 DEG F. may be interposed.
