1,003,398. Reciprocating pumps. G. SCHAFER, O. SCHAFER, G. SCHAFER Jnr., and O. SCHAFER Jnr., [trading as KUGELFISCHER GEORG SCHAFER & CO.]. Nov. 7, 1961 [Nov. 12, 1960], No. 39825/61. Heading FIA. [Also in Division F2] In a pump for supplying lubricating oil diluted with fuel to a two-stroke engine, the oil and fuel are alternately drawn into the pumping chamber from separate sources and are delivered to a mixing chamber. The spring- loaded pump piston 1 is rotated by an enginedriven shaft 2 acting through a worm 3 and a gear wheel 4, Fig. 3. Gear wheel 4 is formed with a cam surface 6 engaged by a fixed cam 7, the arrangement being such that piston 1 reciprocates twice per revolution. The suction stroke of piston 1 is limited by a rod 20 bearing on an eccentric 21 rotatable by a lever 23 spring- biased towards an adjustable stop for minimum delivery. Oil and fuel supply ports 11 and 12 are connected alternately during successive suction strokes to pumping chamber 8 by a groove 9 in piston 1, delivery being effected alternately via ports 13, 13a and an annular mixing chamber 17 to an outlet 19.
