Abstract

794,116. Fuel-injection pumps. SIMMS MOTOR UNITS, Ltd., and MIRACKI, Z. S. July 6, 1956 [April 6, 1955], No. 10145/55. Class 102(1). In a fuel-injection pump, a rotor 11 has an axial bore 34 communicating with inlet ports 33 through ports 32, and in succession with outlet ports 46, leading to the engine cylinders, through a port 45, and with a diametrical bore 13 containing two pistons 14 pressed apart by a spring 15 and reciprocated by a cam 26 through rollers 21 mounted on stubs 19 on cross members 17 abutting the pistons. Flats on the sides of the cross members are guided in slots in the rotor. The bore 34 also communicates through ports 36 with spill ports 37. Specifications 733,270 and 743,688 are referred to.
