Abstract

La présente invention est relative à la photographie. L'émulsion photographique suivant l'invention comprend dans sa phase discontinue des cristaux d'iodure d'argent à plusieurs faces dont le diamètre moyen est au moins égal à 0,1 mu m et des cristaux de chlorure d'argent 2 reliés aux cristaux d'iodure d'argent par une liaison epitaxiale, au moins la moitié des faces des cristaux d'iodure d'argent étant pratiquement dépourvue de chlorure d'argent épitaxial qui représente moins de 75/100 en mole de l'ensemble des halogénures d'argent. Application à la préparation des produits photographiques dont les caractéristiques sensitométriques, en particulier la sensibilité, sont améliorées.
